Wow where to start..The Cure, Damien Rice, The Killers, Angels & Airwaves, DMB, Kravitz, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Rise Against, Strung Out, Green Day, Matt Costa, Floyd, Pearl Jam, The Smiths, Ben Gibbard, Van Morrison, Sufjan Stevens, Red House Painters, Jack Johnson, The Kinks, Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, etc. I could go on for quite some time.
Garden State (one day I'll marry Natalie Portman), Run Lola Run, Sideways, Good Will Hunting, The Incredibles, Endless Summer 2, The Princess Bride, Big Trouble in Little China (Kurt Russell at his finest!), Lords Of Dogtown, Letters From a Porcupine (Blind Melon), Alive From Planet Earth (Kravitz), and a whole bunch of guilty pleasures I'll never admit to!
Some obvious one's like The Simpsons and Family Guy. Undeclared, Freaks & Geeks, the first season of The OC (for those shaking your head you just don't understand), Arrested Development (possibly the best show ever!), um that's about it. Oh and season one of Lost.
I just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho yesterday and that was fantastic. A book I'm always quick to recommend is No One Here Gets Out Alive by Danny Sugerman...probably the best biography I've ever read (it's about Jim Morrison!) During my lunch hours at a warehouse I worked at, while all the MEN talked about cars, chicks, and beer, I would sit in the corner absolutely glued to Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, sure that I'd be toast when they found out what I was reading! No need to worry I was never harmed.
