I piatti, i dischi, i cd e quant'altro in mano a un bravo dj, sono ottimi strumenti, l’´importante è saperli utilizzare nella maniera opportuna! Questi elementi possono diventare per il dj, come per un bravo musicista, una grande orchestra. Ecco perché oggi anche un dj può cavalcare le classifiche con i brani da lui realizzati, remixati e prodotti e perché i giovani s´accalcano ad un suo dj set come un tempo si faceva solo per un concerto rock. Il dj è la nuova star... del resto lo aveva predetto gia nel lontano `83 anche Brian Eno dicendo: …il musicista del futuro sarà il dj!†Una filosofia di vita alla base della professione del dj accompagnata sempre da un buon gusto musicale, orecchio, umiltà e soprattutto passione… in queste parole è raccolta l´opinione di Flavio Kirilli. Nativo di Puglia, attualmente dj resident del venerdì al Matis di Bologna, uno dei locali italiani più conosciuti del nightclubbing nazionale e non solo. Flavio, sin dall´infanzia, è stato appassionato di musica e di tutto quello che gli ruota intorno; comincia a muovere i primi passi all’età di 16 anni con l’acquisto della prima consolle, poi crescendo continua il suo cammino “mettendo dischi†praticamente in tutti i migliori clubs della regione. Col passare del tempo, impara a scoprire ed interpretare i diversi gusti musicali della gente, il modo per farla divertire e trasmettergli emozioni. Dopo diverse esperienze radiofoniche approda a Ciccio Riccio (una tra le radio più importanti della Puglia), dove per qualche anno riesce a diffondere il suo sound alle migliaia di ascoltatori dell'emittente; intanto le serate aumentano e riesce ad affermarsi anche fuori dalla sua regione (ma di strada ce ne ancora tanta da percorrere)... Nel 2002 decide di trasferirsi definitivamente a Riccione dove da sempre ci sono i locali più importanti d´Italia. Qui finalmente i sogni diventando realtà , dopo aver lavorato all´Echoes-Liz, Byblos e al Pascià approda al Matis. Per diversi anni lavora presso uno dei negozi di dischi più importanti d'Italia, dove arricchisce la sua cultura musicale e rafforza le sue conoscenze con i migliori esponenti del panorama House nazionale e non solo. In quattordici anni ha lavorato in centinaia di clubs in Italia e all'estero, tra i più significativi: Divinae Follie (Bisceglie - Ba), Nafoura (Castellaneta Marina-Ta), DNA (Ginosa Marina -Ta), Miù J’adore (Marotta-An), Chalet delle Rose (Bologna), Zangola (Madonna Di Campiglio - Tn), Vanilla (Siena), The Door (New York - USA), NiteFlight (Leibnitz - Austria) e tanti altri... Ha lavorato al fianco di mostri sacri della musica, artisti di calibro mondiale con i quali ha avuto il piacere di condividere sia la professionalità che l’amicizia. "Mi basta guardali lavorare per capire che da loro c’è sempre da imparare " dice con umiltà ... Conseguenza del suo successo e del suo back-ground musicale, come naturale crescita professionale, Flavio dal 2006 comincia a confrontarsi con il lavoro di remixer e produttore discografico. Tra un dj set ed un altro, con amici dj e musicisti frequenta diversi studi di registrazione dove sta lavorando per la nascita del suo primo progetto in uscita entro .......... . ENGLISH VERSION: . Brian Eno foretold this in ‘83, saying, “ … the musician of the future will be the dj! ". The decks, the records, the cds and much more, in the hands of a good dj, are instruments. The important thing is to know how to use them in the best way! These elements can become for the dj, as for a musician, a great orchestra. This philosophy of life is the foundation of the dj profession, always accompanied by musical taste, a good ear, humility and above all passion. These words have become the mantra of Flavio Kirilli. Native of Puglia, Flavio has been a lover of music and of all it encompasses since childhood. He began his dj journey when he was 16, buying his first console and in no time he was spinning in some of the best clubs in the region. It didn’t take him long to interpret the different musical tastes of the people, the way to move them and to transmit emotions. After some radio time with Ciccio Riccio (one of the most important radio shows in Puglia), where for a few years he succeeded in spreading his sound to thousands of listeners, he solidified himself even more in the industry and succeeded in making his mark in the region as well as outside of it…but it was just the beginning. In 2002 he decided to relocate to Riccione, where it was most important for him to be. Here dreams finally became reality and after having played at the Echoes-Liz, Byblos and Pascià he arrived at Matis, where Flavio currently holds a residency. In his fourteen years submerged in music he has worked at one of the most important record shops in Italy, enriching his musical palate and strengthening his house music knowledge with a wide array of records available at his fingertips. He has performed in hundreds of clubs in Italy and abroad, among the most memorable: Divinae Follie (Bisceglie - Ba), Nafoura (Castellaneta Marina-Ta), Dna (Ginosa Marina - Ta), Miù J'adore (Marotta-An), Chalet delle Rose (Bologna), Zangola(Madonna di Campiglio - Tn), Vanilla (Siena), The Door (New York - USA), NiteFlight (Leibnitz - Austria) and many more... Flavio worked with “the sacred monsters†of the music industry, artists of world caliber, with which he has had the pleasure to share both professionalism and friendship. "It is enough watching their talent and skills, to understand that there is much to learn from them", he says with humility. Consequently with his success and musical background…a natural professional growth is taking place. Since 2006 Flavio has been remixing and record producing, where between dj sets, working with his friends, djs and musicians alike he spends his time in studio, where he is working on the birth of his first big project.
