..Arnold Beuttenmuller got behind the decks for the first time in 1995 when he worked in an underground club playing Chicago and Deep House in Fortaleza, Brazil. (Fortaleza is located in the North East of Brazil. The capital of Ceara has roughly three million residents and is world famous for its tropical climate being one of the main tourist locations in Brazil). Around 1996 Arnold then acquired a weekly residency at the main and biggest nightclub in the region where he spent two years, he was only seventeen years old. At that time underground electronic music was very rare in the main scene, however Arnold already had great interest for it and together with other professionals, who shared the same ideas, founded a group called Undergroove (www.undergroove.com.br). The aims of this group involved diffusing underground electronic music and the culture behind it. In order to do that they promoted parties, made use of every media available such as TV, radio, websites, flyers and magazines . Undergroove is affiliated to Pragatecno(www.pragatecno.com.br), which is the nationwide organisation promoting electronic music around the North Eastern region.During that time they worked in actions which emphasised the incentive on the conceptual strength of professionalism within the spectrum of electronic music as a whole by, for instance, promoting the second edition of a seminar called Digitais which involved several activities such as expositions, video/audio and Djing technique workshops, presentations from music journalists and renowned djs/producers from all over the country.In addition Arnold produced weekly radio programs such as Maxi Dance & So Se For Dance(Maxi Radio 2001) and Underground (FM Cidade 99.1, 2004). Playing every single weekend at local and national parties in Brazil (Fortaleza, Recife, Maranhao, Piaui, Natal, etc) Arnold pioneered hard techno in the North East, specially Fortaleza where he was born, now a location which is, after Sao Paulo, one of the main stops for all renowed Djs within the style. In 2002 Arnold moved to London where he has been playing in several clubs in the UK such as Rhythm Factory, George IV, Telegraph and WildCats(current monthly residency) and clubs and parties in Brazil such as Cyberdelic, Projeto U.S.E , Disco Voador, Night Tronic , Eletrofusion , Biruta Parties , Feeling Electric Motion, Technofor, Ceara Music Festival(second biggest in Brazil, aprox. 130.000), Órbita Club/, Serra Elétrica (own promotion yearly). Recently, Arnold does one tour a year to Brazil where he plays at several clubs and national festivals such as Ceara Music and Verao Vida e Arte having already played alongside Djs such as Murphy(BR), Preach(CAN), Adam Beyer(SE), Marco Bailey(BE), DrumMagick(BR), Marky(BR), Umek(SE), Patife(BR), Dave The Drummer(UK), Chris Liberator(UK), Andreas Kremmer(GER), Darc Marc (UK), PET DUO(BR), Mara Bruiser(BR), Marco Carola(ITA), Christian Varela(SPA), Alex S (BR), Mau Mau (BR), Renato Lopes (BR), Anderson Noise (BR), Camilo Rocha (BR) and Lukas (BR)amongst many others. Arnold’s technique has set him aside of his peers, making him able to vary between the styles within techno such as Minimal, Detroit and Hard. Arnold is also used to playing in 4 decks alongside other Djs. He is currently working on music production and live performances and has already got plans for his own label.
