About Me

Designkraft is the brainchild of Tunji Akanbi, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, high school in England and a graduate of University of Louisiana, Lafayette. I am currently based in California and totally hooked on ambient electronic music, drum n bass, hip hop, R n B etc. Ever since I got access to Reason and Ableton while in college studying media, I was hooked, its an interesting field of creative expression, there are endless possibilities to explore. The Designkraft concept is based on my fascination with digital music in general, very new to it, my early background was an architecture degree followed by a fine arts degree and music has always inspired the creative process. I thought it would be interesting the other way around. Using comics and a sci-fi visual world as stimuli to conjure up soundscapes. The exploration continues.... I love to listen to somafm.com (groove salad and soma space station, drone zone) and Benji B on bbc radio 1xtra (more styles: underground Soul), ....and the list can go on and on..lest I forget Kraftwerk and The Art of Noise, Yello...they rocked my world as a kid and still do.
