Melane started to sing at the age of 7 in the choir of her hometown church. At that time her interest in singing began to grow and so at the age of 13 she joined one of Germanys best music schools, The Volkswang Musikhochschule in Essen, to learn more about vocals, singing and music itself. During that time up to the age of 17 many events with her as singer on parties, African events (Enije, PITU) and even in schools passed her way. Then after taking part in a casting at Volkwang, the band One of each kind with Melane and her friend Natalia as leadsinger was founded. Two years later the band split up and many events with both girls as duett followed.
In 2004 Melane reached the re-call at Germanys Star search.
Starting in 2004 many collaborations and features with other artists from the black music scene, especially from D..sseldorf and Cologne followed. One of her songs even was published as a feature in PITUS Album Body to the right. In December 2006 she took part at the "COCA COLA Christmas Tour" throughtout Germany, where she performed Gospel Songs with her friend Natalia Antczak. Now Melane is one the way to get her first own album finished with the help of her producer Andrew Reeves. The first songs, a mixture of RnB and Soul, already have been set online.
Her style changed during the years and now she is also able not just to performe straight rnb or soul, but even jazz,house and rock songs. So you could say you cannot put her in one corner because she loves to be creative, writes her own songs, and is on her way to make something BIG out of her talent. Melane an artist with many different faces..styles..but always back to the roots..a big voice that finds her way.
