It did not take long before Margaret Berger won the hearts and ears of the Norwegian audience. Her debut album “Chameleon” indicated a strong artist for the present and the future.

“Pretty Scary Silver Fairy” shows an artist that’s in full blossom. By working with this album for over 2 years, she has found the vision and expression that she has been eager to communicate for a long time. The word “vision” is what Margaret Berger uses often when she talks about her new album: - The title, as well as the album, is a kind of a vision I have; I want it to be sweet but mean at the same time… Hard beats with sweet melody to top it off!
The music on “Pretty Scary Silver Fairy” moves in a landscape where classic pop music meets electronic crafty details. The album has several tracks that will hopefully make radios melt. Along with her producers they have created something unique in a musical world where anything can happen. A place that is great to visit and difficult to leave. Margaret’s lyrics touch in on subject of love and being in love along with pop composition.
The lyrics are based on experiences and feelings that she had in the beginning of her teenage years. It’s a combination of being unsure and naive. I am fascinated and inspired by the person I was then. She was carefree and would love to go back to being that person on this album.
Margaret writes both her lyric and melody while others have also been involved in the game. She would like to create a vision along with others.
This last year she has been in the studio in London, Trondheim and Helsinki where she has written and recorded her album “Pretty Scary Silver Fairy”. In London she worked with South African Pete Martin (Sugababes, Danii Minogue, The Brand New Heavies), in Finland she worked with the hot new duo Jukka Immonen and Patric Sarin (Redrama, Fintelligens, Darin, Jai Rodriquez) and with Hans Jørgen Støp (ex-Locomotives, Erik Faber).
