I started doing this stuff in high school circa 1996 when a buddy of mine wanted to start a rap group, half seriously, half-joking. At the time I was playing bass in a pop-punk group called secrest. My folks had an old IBM that originally had no sound card speakers/ect...I outfitted the computer with a soundcard and started messing around with the windows recorder and some cd's I had around....the rest, history.
Most recently I've been a playing with mooncalf ( Mooncalfmusic.com ).
We put out an album last year, got some play on KEXP Seattle and played tons of show. Its by far been my favorite and most rewarding project to date.
I little while back I got the opportunity to leave Seattle and move to the Caribbean. I went for it. Now I'm doing remixes and producing/playing on the latest mooncalf album (thanks to the internet and online share drives). I also recently completed a remix for Tim Seely's "pleasant valley state prison" ( armyoftim.com ), I've heard it gotten a little airplay as well, bonus.
