"Turn Down the People, Bring Down the Line": 2006 A few bars taken from the ending of "A Foggy Day" from a World Guitar Duo rehearsal a back in May. WGD's recorded improvisations are scanned for little motifs to build upon. This was the first example of an approach to apply to our recorded improvisations. The vocal is a sample from a Budapest train announcer. It sounds like he says, "... Turn down the people, bring down the line...". More arranging and sound design are in the works. Much more to come. "Kipo Mambo": 2005 Written with Bachi last summer. The song came together unexpectedly after some fiddling with chords and sounds. We switched to organ then added french horn, flute, cello and strings.
The song could use some more arrangement. Check back for the latest version.
Bachi recommended sending the song to ISC's International Songwriting Competition last Fall. Thankfully, it made the first cut. More of the world stuff is being worked on.
