I live/eat/breathe music. I really enjoy racquetball. I used be into Keichu-do but I've fallen out of practice. I need to get back into it. I love to read when I have the time. I really enjoy cooking as well.
Steve Vai. I had a dream once in which Steve Vai showed me everything there was to know about guitar. I was enlightened ... I was One with the guitar universe ... then I woke up and I was late for work. Ask me about my Aerosmith dream sometime.
David Horowitz. Check out http://www.frontpagemag.com (Thanks for this, Brad.)
Geoff Tate. My muse sings to me in his voice.
Senator John McCain, a true American hero.
Prince, The man is a musical genius.
Kevin Eubanks. I love his musical flexibility and his laid-back sense of humor. I also think I want his job. :-)
Richard Dawkins, a human intelligence beyond the pale.
Having said all that, let me use this space to bring something to the fore: Let me take you back to 1995 ... This is "Carry On Wayward Son" as performed by the 98th Army Band's rock band "Crossfire", an ensemble I led when stationed there. We were playing in the Youth Services gym at Fort Rucker and I had the camcorder running (as usual) but the recording came out well and the machine was eating the VHS so a friend of mine saved this clip as an MPG. So enjoy a decent performance of a moderately difficult song and feel free to go ahead and laugh at how old we all have gotten. Please bear in mind that we weren't making a music video, this is just a home movie of us making a living. Cory Pettiford - Guitar and Vocals / Tory Keefer - Keys and Vocals / Me - Guitar, Vocals, and Control Freak / Eric Rodriguez - Drums / Cliff Oliver – Bass

Michelle Nichols' haunting "What's Your Name?"
There's not nearly enough space here and anyway I doubt have the strength. Pick five, you say? Okay ... Queensryche, Dream Theater, Kamelot, Tool/APC, Steve Vai ... Seriously, good music is good music and I listen to just about anything that doesn't suck. If I kept going with the list I'd have to add some pop, country, R&B, ... but, above all, tons of classic rock.
