The primary purpose of television broadcasts (within this country at least) is to control the population. It is solely a tool of the establishment and provides minimal benefit to the viewers. It is part the tapeworm that eats away at our society. These considerations coupled with the fact that it is one of the least productive things one could be doing makes the act of watching television reproachable.
