About Me

Poem were formed in the beginning of 2005 by George Prokopiou (ex-singer of Corona Bor), Kamil Kamieniecki (ex-drummer of Asotoi) and George Anagnostou (ex-guitarist of The Manuals). In the beginning of 2006 Achilleas Tampakis replaced Hlias Fylaktos as band's bass player, until he left the band in the summer of 2007. Poem's new bass player since the spring of 2008 is Kostas Giannakis. Since 2005, Poem have played numerous live shows in clubs all over Athens. In April 2006 they got the second place in the Nakas Pop & Rock contest festival, out of more than 170 bands from all over Greece. In June 2006 they self released their first demo EP. Currently, they are adding the finishing touches to their first full LP, titled "the Great Secret Show", soon to be released and they are getting ready for more live shows, after a year absence.For ordering info contact: [email protected]

Sounds Like: A cat, along with a flask containing a poison, is placed in a sealed box shielded against environmentally induced quantum decoherence. The flask is shattered, releasing the poison, if a Geiger counter detects radiation. Quantum mechanics suggests that after a while the cat is simultaneously alive and dead, in a quantum superposition of coexisting alive and dead states. Yet when we look in the box we expect to see the cat either alive or dead, not in a mixture of alive and dead.
