Fandom at Random DFW

Founded in August of 2005, Fandom at Random DFW serves the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area as the first multi-interest, multi-genre club for fans of all kinds!Having joined both comic book and Star Wars fan clubs in the past I discovered one thing both had in common - the one thing that no one at the meetings talked about was the theme of the club! Conversations tended to be more about all kinds of related fandom. So why not drop the themes and just have a club that encompasses all of the things we love? And provides a great means for a lot of folks to meet each other for the first time, forge friendships, enjoy the rich fandom scene in the area, and just have a lot of fun!One of our focuses is the Texas convention scene. So many fans are unaware of how many conventions and events of interest to fans occur all over the DFW area and in Texas. F@R maintains a year-round calendar that highlights every such convention known to us, big or small. If it's in Texas, and we know about it, it is on our calendar! We encourage our members to discover the local convention scene and be a part of this unique aspect of Fandom.Fandom at Random DFW meets on a roughly monthly basis at restraunts in the DFW area. We do our best to select locales in varied cities in the area to optomize the ability of all of our members to attend as many of our gatherings as possible.
