I listen to alot of differant music, but generally it's a song by song basis. I can like something by a singer but hate their next release. That said, I mainly listen to old rock, 80s hair metal, country, some filk and celtic, modern rock and pop, and occasionally classical. I really don't care for hiphop or rap, other than the rare catchy tune. I enjoy music from the hiphop scene when it's about the voices with harmony and not the rap.

Anne McCaffrey's Pern series- I own all of these, in a mixture of hardcover and paperback. Most people label these fantasy because of the dragons, but it's actually scifi.
Terry Pratchett - I have all but 2 of his Discworld books, and the entire Johnny Maxwell series. When he has a new book out, I'm frantic till I get my copy, so I'm unashamedly addicted.

J.K. Rowlings - Yes, I'm an adult Potter fan. Can't you just accept me for who I am?
Mercedes Lackey - I have various books by this author. Some of her Valdemar, her Elvenbane series and her new collaboration with John Mallory, THE OBSIDIAN TRILOGY.
Naomi Novik - Temeraire forever.
Angie Sage - Septimus Heap series
John Moore - The Unhandsome Prince, Heroics for Beginners, Bad Prince Charlie and a couple others.
Tamora Pierce - The Tortall Series. I think I have all of this one but I'm not sure.
MaryJanice Davidson - Betsy the vampire Queen. I really don't like vampire books but this one is an exception to the rule. Very original, well written and funny series of books.
Betty Neels - Harlequin Romance writer. She passed away a few years ago and I've been trying to buy the reprints of her books to finish out my collection. All of her books are the same but I like them for the sweet romance, instead of all the panting and groping other books do.There are dozens more but that would mean I write all of them here. I'll just put these and call them my Top Selection.
