"If Paris Hilton can do it, so can I!" says David Swinburn; a 20 year old Imaginative Writing student currently living in Capital Of Culture Liverpool, England.No, he's not planning on making a steamy sex tape; he's following his lifelong dream and making his very own album.Pop music has always been an integral part of David's life; he can remember knowing all the words to his dad's Bucks Fizz tape as a child, singing songs from Joseph to his family, and writing both heartfelt and humerous songs as a teenager.But whilst music was always his main passion, David put any ideas of singing in the spotlight on the back burner as he concentrated on other things. He'd always loved writing songs, and his passion for writing continued as he interviewed the likes of Susanna Hoffs and singer/songwriter Shelly Poole for his very own magazine, before working at AXM and producing work that spread across numerous issues. He also wrote for leading UK teen website Puffta, and has been invited to perform with cult Swedish duo Lo-Fi-FNK.However, music had always been his main passion, and in 2008, 4 years after highly acclaimed songwriter Karen Poole had praised his "knack for melody", David finally plucked up the courage to enter the studio.Produced by Daniel Lees (who has worked with the likes of Liverpool soul sensation Jay Norton amongst others), "Wrong Shoes" is a toe-tapping slice of guitar infused electropop, which has provoked comparisons with Roisin Murphy, "Scissor Sisters on crack" and one of David's biggest icons; Prince!The track has also been praised by the critically acclaimed Frankmusik, who said he loved it. That's pretty impressive feedback for what is David's first ever foray into the studio!2008 looks set to be a very exciting year for David as he continues his adventure into the pop world; he hopes to begin work on his debut album, begin gigging and collaborating with anyone who would be willing! He's also hoping to continue his writing work, and is eyeing up another stint at AXM and adding yet another string to his bow when he begins some modelling work later this year."It's all very exciting!" beams David, with his trademark cheeky grin.
