Musical instincts showed up very soon in Nick’s life. With influences from Jazz and mainly Rock music he began a journey through knowledge of various instruments including drums, classical piano and finally his big love the guitar. On the age of 16 and after trying to find the genre which fit him the most ,a Danny Tenaglia’s set was the incident that led him to the direction that till now Nick follows ,the world of electronic dance music. Nick started immediately collecting Rennaisance&Global Underground compilations with his vinyl collection getting started at the same time. Visiting London 3-4times a year for vinyl shopping and cultural enrollment started organizing local parties to exposure his sound and to improve his skills. A huge supporter of deep and progressive house Nick stayed loyal to his sound when American house and Psychedelic-Trance where the style kings of club-life in Greece. What brought Nick to the next level was the residency that he gained on one of the world most important clubs in the world ( VOTED AS ONE OF THE BEST 50 CLUBS IN THE WORLD FOR 2007 ON DJ MAGAZINE &ONE OF THE BEST 25CLUBS IN EUROPE FOR 2006 ON MIXMAG’S POLL)VENUE CLUB, Athens. A residency that Nick kept for 3years till the clubs temporarily(?) closed down .During this residency Nick (under the nickname PITCHI) shared the decks with the worlds greatest DJ'S such as: SASHA ,PAUL OAKENFOLD,HERNAN CATTANEO,PAUL VAN DYK,DANNY HOWELLS,TIMO MAAS,SANDER KLEINENBERG,STEVE LAWLER,DAVE SEAMAN,ARMIN VAN BUUREN,MARCUS SCHULZ,GABRIEL AND DRESDEN&ABOVE AND BEYOND ..And with some of them more than once. After Venue’s close down Nick gained 2 weekly residencies on the legendary CLUB MERCEDES presenting his own project ‘STAY LOUD” and at YOGA BALA when at the same time was touring around the hottest spots of Greece Club land Both of the residencies were absolute successful .Tuesday’s residency at Yoga Bala was characterized by the Greek press” Best Tuesday Night in Athens”…and as about the one in Mercedes Club …well the fact that started as a monthly residency turned to a 15day one, and then to a weekly one, extending the club’s winter season for an extra month speaks for it success.. On the same time Nick’s musical relation with HERNAN CATTANEO was developing on and on ..Nick started opening Hernan’s gigs in Greece wherever was that possible, through his request. Quickly this “partnership” got international.. On September 2006, Nick moved to New York,United States challenging his career into international manners. Then was when Hernan Cattaneo asked him to open for his quarterly residency at New York’s hottest club at the time CROBAR (Voted NORTH AMERICA’S best club for the years 2005.2006)that later on renamed to STUDIO MEZMOR “an invitation that was the most honorable moment that has happened in my short career” as Nick claims. Till today Nick has opened Hernan’s sets for more than10 times…and they moving forward to increase that number a lot…. With a monthly online radio show on www.danceradio.gr and by delivering guest mixes to the most important online radio webs- such as Frisky Radio,Proton Radio -and radio stations –such as METRODANCE 95.1 –SOUTH AMERICA’S MOST IMPORTANT DANCE RADIO STATION-at the same time Nick Varon finds himself proposing “DANCEFLOOR DESTROYER “tracks for DJ MAG (December 2006)and getting triumph reviews for his DJ sets from DJ MAG as well(SEPTEMBER 2007) Characterized from the build ups on his sets and from the diversity of house forms that presents to his audience Nick is moving forward working on some productions at the moment. November 2007 found him been "awarded "for his DJ abilities by participating in one of the Top Festivals Worldwide CREAMFIELDS, BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA, along with CHEMICAL BROTHERS,CARL COX,JOHN DIGWEED,HERNAN CATTANEO,ALI DUBFIRE,JAMES ZABIELA ,MARTIN GARCIA and around 100 more great artist in this great celebration of electronic dance music… a
