Hi I am Ellis Mordecai
I have been playing keyboards for years now (nearly thirty I think) and been writing for about 25. I come from a little town in Essex, England named Boreham. I also play guitar, bass and sing abit.
I have written A LOT of music over the years in various genres. The tracks currently on the site are a mixture of Vangelis, JMJ keyboardy stuff and band tracks.
Innovations was written around 1994. I had bought an Ensoniq KS-32 the year before and had found a great phaser effect that is used in this track. Innovations is the title track of a 7 piece instrumental album I wrote & recorded in one week. Every track on the album was recorded just using the KS-32 with it's on board sequencer. The only addition is a splash of Korg O1W on this track played by Ben Pluck a good mate.
Optics V is another keyboard track this time using two Ensoniqs, the KS-32 and a TS-12. This is a track from an album called (you've guessed it) Optics.
I have put it on the site because people always say I can never write anything happy. This track is so happy it makes me want to kill myself!!
Fantastic Day & Go are band tracks written with a friend of mine Andrew Day (superb guitarist and really nice guy!!). These are both from the same album How Much Are You Willing To Spend? that been in production for years. It's good though! The other members are Peter Coussens (Bass) & my little bro Vaughan Abrey (Drums).
Over the coming weeks and months I will place other tracks on the site that have been written over the last couple of decades. Let me know what you think.
