There are special moments in a persons life that are as if a dream come true or possibly catching that shooting star that you have been wishing upon longer than memory can serve to recall. We all encounter these moments in our life, some are fleeting glimpses, while others are more lasting. Nonetheless, we all recognize these instances as transforming our individual lives in a profoundly significant manner. That would be the best way to describe the formation of the Indianapolis band Real Lies.
Amid many individual failed attempts to attain success, the band was formed through lucky chance meetings that were only as if fate intended. Guitarist Nate and drummer Abe Persohn began jamming early in 06 as an experiment to see if the two could successfully make music again after their prior group disbanded. The two met vocalist Ryan Miller through a mutual friend, whom was at a party that both had attended. After the initial meeting, the three began rehearsing together, immediately finding a common ground and desire to take the group to the next level. The following step made the search for the right bassist a major priority. After many unsuccessful auditions, the band found the perfect guy for the challenge in Patrick Sullivan. Now complete, the band is ready to move mountains and touch dreams. See you soon.
