Maria Timm

Maria Timm started out in the punky rock trio Silver Rocket back in 1997, playing bass and part-time singing. In 2003 Silver Rocket transformed into The Broken Beats Generation 2, because songwriter kim Munk needed a backing band to go tour in Germany, to follow up on the newly released album ”the Weather Beats the rythm” (2003) recorded by The Broken Beats Generation 1 which had split up by the time of the release. As a part of The Broken Beats, Maria Timm released two full-length albums; ”Them Codes...Them Codes...” (2005), and ”In the Ruin for the Perfect” (2006) which was nominated for ”lytterhit” of the year on P3 radio, and the danish music-criticals price Steppenwolf rewarded the album with yet two nominations. As a band they had great adventures touring Germany and other countries, playing over 150 concerts. Maria Timm said goodbye to The Broken Beats in 2006, and headed out to write her own songs which soon developed into a colaboration with Anders Boll. The two of them are now the engineers behind the band "MARIA & METAMMIT". This page is dedicated to promoting the songs made by Maria and Anders, and to present the band.The same year Maria Timm started playing in the band Marybell Katastrophy led by fellow musician Marie Højlund. Marybell Katastrophy is also touring countries like Germany, France and Ireland and play concerts in Denmark on a regular basis. Marybell Katastrophy released an e.p in december 2007 by the name "This is the One" (go to marybell.dk to listen and get the music). Maria Timm also contributes her vocal and choir arrangements to other artists/bands. Some of the artists/bands she has worked with so far, counts the likes of Super Preachers (France), Kool Ade Acid Test (USA/Germany), Mardi Grass BB (Germany), Kim and the Cinders (Denmark), Telestjernen (Denmark), Reverends Revenge (USA/Germany).
