What up folks, and welcome to my page!
I first started writing BITCHES BREW, a sex/relationship column, back in 1996 for a popular New York urban magazine. From day one, it sparked discussion and received loads of feedback. What I love most is that people have always had something to say. Opinions help keep BITCHES BREW on its toes!
BITCHES BREW is a unique blend of sex/relationship stories taken from my own experience or that of my friends. It's honest, funny, raw, enlightening and sometimes over-the-top! I could go on and on about BITCHES BREW, but since I know attention spans can be short online, I'd rather you save your energy for the blog.
Oh, yea, I'm working on the BITCHES BREW book, which is extended essays taken from the column. I have other things brewing when it comes to BITCHES BREW and TV/video, but you'll just have to stay tuned.
More about me? I've written for Essence, Trace, American Legacy Woman and Jolie magazine; and I just finished a stint as Editor-at-Large of Uptown mag. I'm also an actress. I've been on CHAPPELLE'S SHOW (Ashy Larry's wife in 'The World Series of Dice' skit), LAW & ORDER SVU and I just joined the cast of a new show called YA MA AFRIKA, which is a New York based drama centered around the lives of four African women living in an apt. together. I play their American friend. I'll keep you posted on times and dates closer to launch time. I've also done independent films and been edited out of a couple big budget flicks. (What can I say, it's a tough business!) I was also a VJ for MTV Europe. And I just moved from NYC to LA.
