Information You Might Not Otherwise Need (or) The Future History Of All Things Passing

About Me

Sunhee and I married in September of 2005, on the beautiful resort Island of Phuket, Thailand. We were both working as English Language instructors in Changwon, South Korea. In other words, inbetween morning nips of Baileys, and afternoon siestas and late night classes combined with the backwater effects of Soju and Karaoke and the monotonous effort which is grammatical and spoken pedogogy- we maintained a loose grip on sanity and survived to marry. Since then life has been one of domestic bliss, international travel, growth, challenge, home-cooked meals gratefully centered on kimchi, and most importantly, love.We still live in Korea, more precisely Cheongju. As of 2004, I've been also running my own small enterprise- OCV, which hosted the nationwide premiere for REVENGE OF THE SITH in May of 2005. No, I am NOT lying about that. In my present form I am a language instructor (fake-Professor) at the Korean Air Force Academy, working for their government. Yes it sounds impressive, you can tell by the expense of which my pressed pants and leather shoes now cost- but in truth it is much of the same as before.

LEONARD COHEN'S "BOOK OF LONGING" HAS BEEN RELEASED. HIS FIRST BOOK OF GENUINE NEW MATERIAL SINCE THE EARLY 1980'S. GET IT. BUY IT. READ IT. (STEAL IT ONLY AFTER THE PERSON YOU ARE STEALING IT FROM HAS READ IT FIRST).

Heroes:

In your mind assemble or create a group of people- living or dead, fictional and nonfictional, a list more or less; and there in your tuna-can of a brain that group should stay. It is your HEROES LIST. And when in doubt- when in some situation inwhich you have no answer- ask yourself, "In this situation- What would my heroes do?" Their response as you imagine it, is most likely the best course of action for you to take- that's why they are your heroes.
