I enjoy my work more than anything. My second passion after crime is chemistry. You may find me in the music halls or at the opera. I like to play my Stradavarius violin and I like the artwork of the modern Belgian masters. 'Art is balm to the mind'. I also have a weakness for strong tobacco, and when my mind has no work, I find myself in need of a little 'stimulation', namely cocain or morphine. I also enjoy Beekeeping and philosophy.
I would like to meet anyone with an interesting enough problem to stretch my intellect.
I like German music best, the French and Italian works do not suit me. I especially like Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky. Also Chopin is very gifted and his work is superb.
I don't know what a "film" is.
Neither do I comprehend "television".
I don't have much time for literature. But I do read the daily newspapers and the crime journals. If i do read, it is generally Dickens or Shakespeare or Gustave Flaubert.
I admire a great many people, Dr Joseph Bell for example, is a man truly worthy of recognition and admiration.
