It's not what you want. It's how bad you want it.

About Me

Imagine a youthful, but seasoned, sampling of Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Cash hanging out in David Gray’s living room, and you’ll still fall short of the originality revealed by Josh Finley and his primarily acoustic and inventive style. His first EP, entitled “This is Personal”, has been the focus of his work in recent months and has proven, even in its beginning stages, to be well revered. When it comes to his music, Josh Finley is anything but a simple man. His drive to convey the passion with which he engages life is consistently translated through the intensely personal way he approaches every single. This passion, coupled with a never-ending pursuit of acoustic perfection, embodies the entirety of Josh’s work. Whether he works solo or with other artists, his audiences have always come away with a sense of perspective.Nevertheless, simplicity is a clear theme emitted by Josh’s music. He admonishes us to adopt some perspective in our everyday lives and learn through the experience of those around us. His honest approach also gives us the emotional outlook of a man striving for those elements of our world that are truly valuable: life and love. “I write because I don’t want to forget,” Josh explains. In this way, he involves both the bitter and the sweet so that his listeners might be mindful to understand both pieces as part of the piquancy of living. In just a few words, Josh Finley’s music is peaceful and simultaneously fearless. Josh’s music is undeniably more than just arid melodies. It involves a message and tells a unique story, making each of his performances unique and fateful.
