Welcome to my page on MySpace! Well I have been away from my computer for what seems like forever so apologies for the lack of updates and messages. I have noticed that I have got lots of new friends so HELLO to anyone I haven't chatted to as yet, I hope to hear lots from you via comments and messages. Well the last few weeks have been busy as I have been writing for a big project over in Europe, its really exciting because the artist is soon to be launched over here possibly with my track as her debut single. Also, Back Up, one of my other tracks got used for a new film called Back Soon and last week I got to see the finished product which was very exciting for me. Apart from this, I have been hearing new mixes for one of my own single releases coming up, BodyRock. Some of you already know that this track was doing the rounds over in Germany, but now UK mixes are being sorted out and this all seems to be developing well. I've had loads of messages from people asking about the track 24/7 that I recorded late last year. I'm sorry its been slower than first thought to get out to you. I don't have a mix that I would be allowed to sample for you on here just yet, but again, I have been told by the powers that be that mixes of this forthcoming Angel City single are in the making as we speak and that a promotional schedule is likely to be sorted ready for the end of the Summer. I'm sorry I can't say much more about Angel City right now, because I just don't know all the details. But as I am always saying, Watch This Space.
After a bit of a break from being in front of the camera...this year I will have another UK single out and I will also be on your televisions with two presenting jobs I have taken on, one is with Sky TV and will probably be the first to air. Its been far too long behind the scenes for me, and as much as I have loved the writing and the production I can't wait to get back out there again.
I will be replying to messages on myspace personally so feel free to ask me anything you want to know (within reason!) I try to respond promptly but at times it may take a little while, I most certainly read all your messages even if I cannot reply to all of them all of the time. Note: Unfortunately I am unable to add anyone to any sort of instant messaging as this isn't a practical way for me to stay in touch with you all.
A brief summary to bring you up to speed on the story so far......
Having started life as a backing vocalist (Shakira) my breakthrough came in 2003 when I signed up as vocalist to pop dance project 'Angel City' with Ministry of Sound to release 'Love Me Right' (Data) which ended up spending six weeks in the UK Top 40. We followed this up with three more singles including two UK Top 10s, Touch Me, Do You Know and Sunrise. Some of you from other parts of the world may also be familiar with me as Angel City took me to other places too such as Denmark, Russia and the US.
Since then I have been in the studio as a writer/producer as well as a singer, writing and working on different types of music as well as dance, for film, commercials and dance compilations. Pop/dance is obviously what I have been associated with so far but I have enjoyed singing ballads and writing pop top lines as well as creating some brand new dance tracks to follow up from the Angel City singles.
To summarise whats in the pipeline.... I have agreed to do another single with Angel City which I recorded late in 2006 and is currently with producers and remixers. It will be interesting to see which way Angel City develops in 2007 - I am curious to know what sort of video we will shoot and all that kinda thing. A new UK single will be out in a few months time. I hope people will be happy to have me back.
I am also keen to keep up my new connections in other territories this year and 2007 has got off to great start for me in Germany where a new project of mine is currently at the top of the dance charts (www.dance50.de). Its funny how things turn out..."Bodyrock" was actually written and used for a European TV advert but looks like it might just be a hit in its own right.
On the subject of other territories I have also been lucky enough to begin some projects in America and just recently my manager has been sorting out deals with a dance label over there. This work has mainly been collaborations with other producers and DJs (see plyer below)
