About Me

Hello, my name is Vainamoinen, you may know me as the hero of my people's fabulous folk epic, the Kalevala. I was born long long ago from Ilmatar. I had been born old, wise, and fully clothed but retained the vigor and athleticism of an Olympic athlete. My brain is eternally wise, unaffected by senility, and I am also immortal. I am also here not to just educate about my existance, and about the Finnish peoples but also to show the world how much the Finns have accomplished and how strong we are.
I have the power of song and magic. I can sing any inanimate object into existence. I can craft with my mind and charm all the animals with my singing and kantele. I made the kantele I'll have you know, I made from a giant fish's jawbone. I also am responsible for the salt in the sea from when the Sampo lost in the great battle with that witch of Pohjola, Louhi. The Sampo could create salt as well as grain, and gold. Thus when the salt grinding part fell into the sea, it became salty.
I will always be adding to this when I am able.
