About Me

The Dipsomaniacs are from NJ and play melodic, hook-driven, sloppy, but spirited rock n roll. The Replacements have always been a decent reference point for the band's sound - power-pop with a heavy influence of 60s garage rock and the simplicity and directness of punk. The Dipsos love the Who and that shows too. They've been around since the mid 90s and have released 5 CDs and appeared on countless compilations while playing shows all over the country.
The band's songs have been featured on the MTV show's "Made" and "Sweet 16". Most recently the Dipsomaniacs contributed two songs to the FDR Label "About a Girl" CD.
The Dipsomaniacs will release their 6th CD in 2008 - the band is about 1/2 way through the recording process. New song titles include: "Blame it on the Gin", "Together We Can Rule the World", and "Loretta After All". Sound clips of the new tunes will be up soon.
(November 2007) While cleaning out the ol' garage we found a few copies of the long out of print 2001 Dipsomaniacs CD, The Life You're Faking. These won't last - order now.
