About Me

Contact Box Generated from Pimp My Page
This page is about a group of young men in the Army. We are the 4/2 SCR Medics in Vilseck, formally the 2-14 Cav Medics from Fort Lewis, Wa. A group of men who deployed for 1 year to Iraq and saw tours of duty in Mosul, Fallujah, Taji, Biaj, Tall' Afar, Ramadi, Sinjar Mountain and the well hated Rawah. My Name is SSG Richards, and I am the Medical Platoon Sergeant. My Platoon of men is 23 strong including myself and growing every couple of days. The CAV Medics are dedicated to their jobs and have proven it time and time again in both the garrison and the battlefield. During our year tour in Iraq, our Aid Station which was primarily stationed in Tall' Afar saw over 7000 patients, with over 700 of those being combat injuries from shrapnel, gunshots, and mortar fire. The Cav Aid Station was the most active in the theatre and was involved in one of the largest MASCAL's, 54 injured American and Iraqi injured. We handled ourselves and got the injured in/out and on the higher echelons of care.

My Interests

The group is so diverse that one mans interest differs from the next. If you would like to see some of the interest of each person, the top friends will be the current and some former soldiers of the platoon.
