Welcome to Rat Records on My Space. We BUY records and CDs and SELL at our London shop and through the eBay internet auction site.Why do people never tell their friends about Rat Records? Come down to the shop and you'll see. You're going to get a bargain. I actually want to sell our Records and CDs to you. I want your money. I price to sell, pile it high and mark everything down monthly. Fresh stock goes out every Saturday and the regulars queue to get in. Our Vinyl starts at £2 and stops at £8. I price our CDs at £5 unless the rent is due. I make a huge effort to get interesting fresh vinyl and CDs weekly. I price up according to artist, availability and condition. Taste rules here, not fashion. It makes sense and it’s musical justice.I’ve been trading here for 8 years, and this is my fourth Rat Records shop after I was slung out of Greenwich. We know our stuff, so come down, watch us drink coffee and buy some tunes while we inflict our personal opinions and choice of horrible music on you.
We stock 7 inch and 12 inch 45s, 33s and CD albums. Check them out on our 4 listening decks. We're open 6 days a week, 11-6. We are located in the centre of Camberwell -South East London. 10 mins from Oval and 15 mins from Brixton Tube stations.Our STOCK emphasis is on Soul/RnB, Reggae, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, Indie, Punk, Jazz, Electronica and World Music. We try to buy interesting items rather than pop and general fodder.
