I come from Shropshire, and have been playing, listening and making music since about the age of 8.It all started when I began to learn the piano. I managed to gain a grade 2 on this instrument, then got a little bored, quit the lessons and picked up the violin. I gained grade 2 on this instrument too (seeing a pattern here??!!).I self-taught the guitar, by this point I would have been about 14. From then I went back to my piano, then my violin and played for pleasure instead of "chore for a grade" type of thing.I can't really say when I started to write my own material, it just sort of emerged from me!!I went to college and studied a BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music, which was really fab. I am soo grateful for that time as I believe that it was that course that helped me with my confidence because, before that time I wouldn't be seen dead on a stage let alone performing my own material!!And so, now I am looking into promoting my music (gig wise) but need to pluck up the courage to do so!! I have done some gigs with my best friend Ben McGarvey, helping him out with vocals, violin & guitar in Manchester which is always fun, and has given me the kick in the butt to try and do something about my music (thanks Ben :o)).In an nut-shell - thats me!!
