Both Ryan and Casey studied music though their formative years with Paul being self taught. Casey, having mastered numerous other instruments over the years, anchors the band with consistent grinding riffs. Ryan started playing at age 8 and studied under Rich Everhart. He models himself after such drumming greats as Neil Peart and Danny Carrey. Paul is the creative force behind Audacity's original lyrics and art. His energetic bass playing drives the band, both musically and mentally.

Band Members:Audacity is a power rock trio consisting of Paul Benedict on bass and vocals, Ryan Jones on drum kit and back-up vocals, and Reed Thompson on guitar.
Influences: Led Zepplin, Rush, Pink Floyd, the Doors, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, AC-DC, Metallica,+ mass of the 80's stuff, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sublime, Nirvana, Alice In Chains,+ most Seattle bands of the 90's, Primus, System Of A Down, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, and many more. We all enjoy various types of music Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae , etc, everything has its time and place. Check out our friend's bands, they're great influences as well.
Sounds Like: Audacity has a sound that is classic yet progressive reminiscent of band's such as Tool, Alice In Chains, and System Of A Down.
