ALTHOUGH REDEMPTION CITY PLAYED THEIR LAST SHOW IN MAY 2009, DAVID OLIVAS AND BRIAN ROCK HAVE FORMED A NEW BAND - CLICK HERE TO VISIT & ADD CRUSH PROOF JUICEBOX!REDEMPTION CITY was formed by vocalist David Olivas and guitarist Brian Rock in 2007. The band starting playing shows with reckless abandon in December 2007 with Olivas as the energetic rapping frontman and Rock laying down tight, headbanging riffs and wicked solos while holding down harmony vocals. Shortly after the two started writing songs they welcomed longtime friend Joe Angell to the band to handle bass duties. Drummer Mikey Griffiths has been the band journeyman. He's also filled in on bass and backup vocals as well as co-writing songs.********REDEMPTION CITY took great strides in 2008, playing shows all over Western Washington as well as Portland and Spokane. The year also saw its share of difficulties as first Mikey, then Joe had to leave the band at different times. David and Brian played with several different variations of the band in 2008. The original four reunited for a few shows in early 2009, but due to creative differences decided to call it quits after playing 50+ shows from December 2007-May 2009. Finishing strong, REDEMPTION CITY rocked a packed A.F.U.
