Breaking Star Productions is a production company residing in Baltimore , Maryland . Breaking Star was created in January of 2003 by Stephanie Dickard. The concept of Breaking Star was started with the idea to create a website to network of bands across the United States and to be of assistance as much as possible. This idea grew into many different areas that are now what Breaking Star is all about. The main goal of Breaking Star is to create a sense of a family atmosphere between the bands, the staff, and the general music scene. The Breaking Star family has continued to grow through the past few years. We currently run and book St. Johns Phoenix on select Fridays of the month.
** We do not make our bands pay us. We feel as we are supporting mainly up and coming acts and having them pay would only interfere with their ability to do other things to get exposure. We have the right to make alternations to the general workings and rules of Breaking Star, as well as with cause to remove a band from the family.**
We have booked such bands as Cartel (The Militia Group), Adelphi (Drive Thru), The Trackrecord (Rushmore), Brand New Disaster (Tribrunal), All Time Low (Hopeless/Emerald Moon), Hometown Anthem (Emerald Moon), Madison (Rushmore/Drive Thru), Thin Dark Line (111 records), All Rights Reserved (No Milk/Pumpkin Eater), Rookie of the Year (111 records), Downtown Singapore (DCide), Just Surrender[A Second Chance] (Broken English), Chiodos (Equal Vision) and more. In February of 2005 we hosted the Maryland Drive Thru Records & Purevolume compilation CD, Bands You Love, Have Heard of, and Should Know, release show featuring: Adelphi, Burning Rosewood (The Late Night), All Time Low, American Diary, and The Trackrecord.
