NUDE stands somewhere in between Marlene Dietrich and The Cramps, via superstar-drag queen Divine starring in a Fellini movie. The idea is to set new trends, producing current electronic dance music. Our first single, a three track 12†entitled†TURN ME ON†(featuring Sunny Suits on vocals) was released on NYC label MEMORY BOY in 2002. A melancholic heavy bass driven, deep-electro track with chime riffs that conquered the hearts of many, many DJ’s from Mark Moore (trust the dj.com, London UK) to Andrew Weatheral and Plasique the Reves (plus many other influential DJ’s on the international radio and club circuit) who all kindly charted the record It was London's NAG NAG NAG and ELECTRO GO- GO who embraced the darker and harder next 12†“BLACK LEATHER†(a remix of pre-dead or alive Goth band nightmares in wax).NUDE is a concept created to transcend club land in order to reinvent people's perception of dance music. This unconventional idea was somehow well received and understood, it covers a lot of different territories and opens up places for dj’s allowing them to play outside of the format. The concept is to have music that a dj would play as well as a rock’n’roll kid would dance to and blur the lines, generating some of that well needed chaos that fed the 70’s and 80’s NYC downtown music and art crowd, without being obvious and nostalgic. NUDE is a pop project, music for soundtracks…dolls,t-shirt,posters,beauty products,the girl (boy) you cannot bring home to your mom.
