Four very different teenage girls. One shared passion for music. All Angels are the worlds first female classical supergroup. United by their love of music, and by the freshness of youth, Melanie, Laura, Daisy and Charlotte combine to form a unique vocal quartet for the 21st century. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ All aged 16 and 17, All Angels bring a fresh new sound and a bright new look - to classical crossover music, with a repertoire spanning classical, choral, opera and pop. Only a few weeks ago the girls were planning their summer holidays as they waited for their exam results. Instead they became busy recording their debut album in London. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ Although all four are experienced choirgirls, their backgrounds and interests could not be more different. Charlotte played a Hogwarts pupil in the last Harry Potter film. Multi-lingual Melanie is training for her pilots licence. Daisy released her own solo jazz album when she was just 15. And Laura is not only a sports prodigy, but the reigning BBC Radio 2 Chorister of the Year. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ Their heavenly repertoire includes favourites such as Schuberts Ave Maria, Barbers Agnus Dei and the Sancta Maria intermezzo from Cavalliera Rusticana, along with Delibes Flower Duet from Lakme and Offenbachs Barcarolle. There are vocal versions of Pachelbels Canon and Geoffrey Bergons Theme for Brideshead Revisited - set to Latin text - and the traditional spiritual Steal Away. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ From the world of pop come Robbie Williamss Angels, Fleetwood Macs Songbird - popularised by Eva Cassidy, and Carole King's You've Got A Friend. Melanie, Laura, Daisy and Charlotte were selected following an extensive nationwide search of schools, choirs and music schools. Each girl was picked for bringing a different quality to the group. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ The combination of these four voices is stunning. All Angels are going to bring new life to classical music. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____ The debut album was released November 2006 and a new special edition album will be released on April 30th 2007All Angels
