About Me

In a time of debilitating right-wing monarchy like the 21st century has been, we need a champion, no, a cook, that can lead us against tyranny and war and unite us to fight the good fight against the oppressive Bush regime and also not leave home with an empty stomach. The Right Wing may have Karl Rove or Rush Limbaugh, but we have a new hero for the disenfranchised who cry from their stomachs as well as their hearts. Out of the villages, the riots, the demonstrations, the homes and hearts of the people, we introduce......Mero Cocinero Karimi.Mero Cocinero, or MC Karimi for short, is the idealistic, Iranian-Guatemalan, public-access host of Cooking con Karimi, and chef to revolutionaries, dreamers, and community builders. He used to work for a non-profit organization in San Francisco, but after budget cuts demoralized the staff and the organization, he had a life change, and pledged to feed the world’s hunger for justice, unity and a good meal. He has fed the masses during the freeway marches in the 70s and fed demonstrators during the rallies against HR 4437, and taught people that eating healthy and together is a revolutionary act.Yes, MC Karimi believes in order to grab people’s attention, we must bring them into the kitchen, the TV studio, the art gallery, the Theater so they can engage with each other and dialogue about how to achieve change in society!
