Emily Gomez has been singing since she could talk. She was surrounded by a musically-talented family so it came natural to her to sing and perform. At age 6 she began taking piano lessons, followed by Classical vocal lessons at age 12 and guitar at age 18. Emily wrote and arranged her first song at the age of 14 and was able to perform it and win with it in her school's talent show. Four years later Emily and her older brother, Eric, were able to record their first demo of original songs in Nashville, TN. Emily moved to California in 2004 in hopes of pursuing her music career. Since then she has had many incredible opportunities to use the gifts that God has blessed her with. She opened for Salvador in the summer of 2005, she has sung the National Anthem at three LA Lakers games and one LA Sparks game. She is a member of Saddleback Church's Vocal Ministry and has sung numerous solos for various church events. Emily has also done session work for Disney, Mariners Church, Tim Davis and Tony Guerrero, and, when time permits, she also sings background vocals for Amborsia front-man, David Pack, at various Jazz Festivals in California. Emily recently appeared as a contestant on BET's hit show, Sunday Best, and ended up as the 4th finalst. She then reappeared with the Sunday Best top 5 finalists on BET's Celebration of Gospel 2008 "Spirit in Song". The finalists were there to perform with Gospel icon Fred Hammond. She is currently in the studio writing and recording her own, original music and is waiting for God to open more doors of opportunity to share her heart and talents with the world.
