About Me

"HAPPY," the mostly mute puppet co-star of "The HAPPY SHOW!" was discovered years ago in a traveling circus by Matt Hawes. Happy had been performing in Vaudeville as a dancer and a juggler prior to becoming a sword-swallower and acrobat for the Ding-A-Ling Brothers Eight Ring Circus.
Matt convinced Happy that his talents could be put to better use in the burgeoning television industry. Happy also figured that he could use a good partner as part of a comedy act, and so agreed to go with Matt and become a TV star.
It was the mid 1950s, and the Golden Age of television was upon us. Matt and Happy made several guest appearances on programs such as Sid Ceaser's "Your Show of Shows," and "The Steve Allen Show." Finally, Matt and Happy were offered their own chance to host a television variety program named "The Happy Show!" in 1955.
"The Happy Show" lasted throughout the 1960s, all the way until the 1990s, when Matt and Happy had a brief, but turbulent falling out. Happy was replaced for a short time by Kooky, the Koala, but that didn't last very long. Soon after Kooky became co-host, "The Happy Show!" was cancelled and a nation mourned.
Luckily, after his "lost" period, Happy made ammends with Matt and the two struck out to reunite and create more TV goodness for the population. This time, however, they decided that their talents would be more unhindered in the exciting arena of Public Access. In 2003, "The Happy Show!" hit the airwaves once more!
These days, you can sometimes catch Matt and Happy and "The Happy Show" on Evansville, Indiana's cable providers' public access channels, and at YouTube . There you can view many clips from the show, and add Matt & Happy as friends, just like you can, here, on MySpace!

WRONGLY ACCUSED! VIACOM REMOVES PARODY VIDEO!

Basically, because Viacom and YouTube couldn't reach an agreement acceptable to Viacom, it forced YouTube to remove over one hundred thousand videos that it claimed were infringing on their copyright...
