The Voice that is me, that God gave me started out in church singing gospel and everything else I sing comes from that foundation. I started out singing with a 4 girl R&B group opening for Jeane Carne, En Vogue, Melba Moore and Stevie Wonder in Los Angeles. I got a job touring with a gospel play singing behind Diatra Hicks, Capitol Records and got a taste for traveling outside of California. So I came to New York where I teamed up with Tom Salta, Atlas Productions and co-wrote and co-arranged demos for his company. It was shortly thereafter that I came to work with Bobby Bell and started singing in the NYC "downtown scene" and loved it! This is where I began to meet some of the most tremendous musicians around and got to work with them.I wrote and recorded a song called "Unite Today" for an HIV awareness campaign that was sponsored by Mayor Giuliani and distributed throughout NYC as a non profit project.I have continued to sing in venues as diverse as The Rainbow Room to B.B. Kings, The China Club, Bitter End, Terra Blues and Groove.Presently I am working with different bands doing private events, e.g., Weddings, Corporate Functions etc., and any other type of gig I can get my hands on.I LOVE Music, Good Music, the kind that makes your heart "skip a beat" and I am thankful for the gift.........Still Learning, Still Pressing On...................
