A versatile Drummer Born and raised on Sugarhill in Harlem NY. With 30 plus years experience Capable of playing various styles, most noteably R&B, Funk and Contemporary Jazz. I am a confident well rounded Musician with a Professional attitude and an all around Gentleman. I have in the past performed with: The Main Ingregient, The Weather Girls, Late Great Curtis Mayfield, The Platters, Phyllis Hyman, Sara Dash, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, & Bobby 'Blue' Bland to name a few. I also wrote the music for a Billboard Top 10 Hit entitled "Head Over Heels" for Epic Recording Artist Tony Terry. I am currently working freelance with several local NY bands and Co-Founder of a N.Y based band Named "Funk That". We are available for both Club & Private Functions.My early studies Include 8yrs of private instruction with Jazz drummer Ronnie Cole of The Late Errol Garner fame. I studied Classical Percussion with Richard Horowitz of the New York Metropolitan Opera. I also studied at Jazz Interactions and Jazz Mobile with The Late Jazz Drummer Freddie Waits. I was a music Major @ Bronx Community College where I was Instructed by Pianist and Composer Ms. Valerie Capers.
I have had a hands on education playing on the so called Chittlin Circuit in Harlem and Bronx N.Y. Bars and after hour joints.. Some people call it Paying Dues....I call it an Education. You not only learned about music but you learned about people, the Good, The Bad and The Ugly and how to deal with them.
