About Me

Rob Garland was born in Kent, England in 1973 and grew up around music. As a teenager he played guitar in rock, funk and pop bands. He moved to the US in his mid twenties and formed a blues/jazz trio, The Blue Monks, in which he was also the vocalist. The band released two original CDs and played hundreds of gigs, including numerous festival appearances.He is currently playing with jazz/funk groups The Oday Project & The Richard Fuller Quartet and teaching guitar.Rob has appeared in international publications Guitarist & Guitar One and his instructional book 'Jazz For The Blues Guitarist' is available now published by Cherry Lane Music.For a more detailed biography, mp3 audio and information about guitar lessons, please visit his official website at www.robgarlandmusic.com.
