About Me

Based in Vancouver, BC, Terrence (aka Terry) O'Brien records and performs ambient soundscapes via electronically modified, live looping guitar improvisations, under the moniker Anomalous Disturbances.Terry has been a visiting performer at The Ambient Ping in Toronto - www.theambientping.com - as well as performing in Vancouver, BC and Western Canada over the last five years.Three full length CDs have been released by Anomalous Disturbances, plus the single track "Portent" on the Music for Seances - Talking Board Series. Also, several individual tracks have been released on various artist compilations. Terry has contributed as a guest artist/composer on CDs by Monique Barry and Sylken. The last release that Terry worked on is SADU "Live" (2006), a collaboration with fellow Ambient Ping alumni, Eric Hopper (Sylken) and Jamie Todd (URM and DreamSTATE) :: http://www.cdbaby.com/sylken5 ::Terrence has just completed (July '08) a new Anomalous Disturbances album, "Archive Two", as well as collaborative projects, OB3 and Wassonic.
