The Urban South is a new organization in South Carolina that is intent on connecting the urban community with grass-roots business owners and professionals. Such an association will reveal that real-life models of success do exist. IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS IN SOUTH CAROLINA, YOU DIRECTLY ILLUSTRATE THAT, DESPITE WHAT MUST BE FACE REALIZATION OF GOALS IS POSSIBLE. For those that don't know, 54% of South Carolina's high schools students drop-out, placing us last in the nation. So the URBAN SOUTH would like for tangible people to share their testimonies and affect change and inspire the future. That is what the URBAN SOUTH is here to do, create connections that will ignite, inspire, and incite individuals to rise up, execute and achieve. So if you are a business owner, bring your story and your business cards to the South Carolina State Museum on October 7, 2006 as we Celebrate US. This is an all-black affair (attire, that is).
