About Me

From 1990 until 1995, The Lovemeknots were Indianapolis, Indiana's band next door: an unpretentious group whose regular-guy appearance and subdued stage presence belied strong songwriting and earnest performance skills.
Gigging steadily around the Midwest, the Lovemeknots were compared to groups as diverse as Yo La Tengo, The Bats and The Wipers. Best described as a noisy pop band, their three CDs swung effortlessly from droning post-punk squall to hushed indie balladeering.
Though regular gigs are a thing of the distant past, the Lovemeknots occasionally reunite to make some quaint, old-timey racket.
