About Me

New Album Aurora Consugens OUT NOW!!
Notes: It's a Edu's fan page.
Eduardo Falaschi was born on May 18, 1972 in São Paulo, but when he was one year old their parents moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he lived until he was twelve. When his father passed away, his mother decided to move back to São Paulo and then to São Vicente - in São Paulo's coast - two years later. By the time he was fourteen years old, he had his first big musical experience when he got his first guitar, and since then his musical interest started to grow. Although he was a fan of vocalists like Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson, Edu ironically preferred to play instrumental songs in his guitar instead of singing.
He even played the drums for six months in a blues band with his friends, and he also played bass and guitar in a cover band where he started to do some backing vocals; on the second semester of 1989, he was invited by some school friends to take part as vocalist in a band that was going to enter a festival. They recorded a demo tape and were classified to the finals: when Edu was less expecting, he was already singing for an audience of 5,000 people. The band got third place in this festival and so some of the band members decided to start a 'real' rock band with their own songs, and that's how MITRIUM started back in 1990; that was Edu's first professional band as vocalist and composer. In 1991 they recorded their first demo tape with the song "Just Remember" and in 1992 they recorded the second demo with the songs "The Shadows" and "You Can Choose The Side of Darkness", all of them written by Eduardo Falaschi.
With the increasing recognition of the band and also of Edu Falaschi, in January of 1994 he had the chance of taking part of the contest to find a new vocalist for Iron Maiden, as Bruce Dickinson was leaving the band.
Because of his lack of experience Edu preferred no to put too much faith on it, but surprisingly he was one of the vocalists selected from Brazil and after that from all around the world, getting in contact with Dick Bell, production director of Iron Maiden Holding LTDA. All this happened while Edu was beginning Advertising & Marketing school.
In spite of the professional success, there were many personal problems which forced him to leave his band MITRIUM (on August 05, 1994) and concentrate only in college. But Edu continued working with music, this time in a CD store in São Paulo called Hi-Fi for many years.
Meanwhile, still in 1998, he wrote the vocal lines and also sang in his friends' band VENUS, in the album "Ordinary Existence". He also kept working to help supporting his family. As the Symbols of Time line-up had changed a lot, they decided to change the band's name to SYMBOLS. Still in 1998 their first album self-titled "Symbols" was released. Once again Edu showed now to the whole country his work as professional vocalist and songwriter, something which was soon acknowledged in the whole metal scene, making Symbols one of the best Brazilian heavy metal bands. In the beginning of 1999, he quit his job to concentrate in his band and his work as a singing teacher.
In 2000 Symbols released their second album called "Call To The End", selling a great number of copies both in Brazil and abroad. Still in 2000, around June, ANGRA was looking for new members and Edu was already one of the most fancied to enter the band; then in August he was invited to go through some tests along with other vocalists. On January 2001 Edu's brother, Tito Falaschi, and the guitarist Rodrigo Arjonas both left Symbols. But Eduardo Falaschi still decided to go on with the band, as they were already writing new songs for their third album.
After some months, Eduardo Falaschi received the news that he would be a member of his new band... ANGRA.
Now Edu is hard working in ANGRA's not-yet titled new album, and will be release in November this year.
