I started taking pictures my senior year in highschool with my little powershot canon.. my first real camera. I realized after a couple months I couldn't stop taking pictures. I don't know why it took over me, but it seemed like my hand was always connected to that little camera. Trying to capture my friends and the school in ways that they had never noticed about themselves before. I've always been the artsy type, but as far as I knew I was going to go into graphic design. But my gears started shifting... why not photography, I thought.
After my graduation in 2006 I bought myself a canon rebel xt with my graduation money. I started taking senior pics, engagement pics, and more just for fun, slowly learning the trade. I took one film photography class. It helped me some, but being into art I was already good at having a 'good eye'.
For my 20th birthday my parents bought me a flash. The extra lighting has enhanced my shots and with that extra boost of confidence I can't wait for my future. God placed that camera in my hands two years ago showing me how to glorify his beauty. I intend to keep it that way.
