My Story
Well let's start at the beginning. I've lived in Brooklyn since 1965 and I'm the oldest of three sisters. Most of my childhood was uneventful. I went to Catholic school starting in the 5th grade. I was a very good student and everybody was my friend. Why? Honestly, I don't know. It wasn't like I went out of my way to make friends. In fact I was kinda shy. I guess people find that I'm a good listener. High school was cool. I had a really good time! After graduation, real life started. I didn't go to college right after h.s. I wanted to breath and give my brain a rest but mommy and daddy said work or school. So I choose work. Work didn't last too long because I had the first of my three children shortly after. And shortly after John came his sister Michele. When the kids got a little order, I got married to my best friend, Ernest and we had my last little one James. Then I became a widow. But life has been cool for the most part. I've learned that things happen that you have no control over and you really can't stress yourself over them. Things happen for a reason and only The Lord knows why. We should take care of what we can.The new R&B, the old R&B, house music and techno is what I'm blastin at home. Marvin Gaye, Teddy P, Sade, Patti LaBelle, Mary J, Xscape, Mikki Howard, Floetry, Luther, Joe, and Tyrese are in my collection.TV watches me most of the time. I usually flip the channels when I come home. It's not that there's nothing on tv. I'm just tired. But when I'm not I like to watch Law and Order, CSI, Smallsville, Everybody loves Raymond.
I like to go bike riding, playing video games with my sons and playing handball from time to time. And shopping is always on the list.I'm into romance novels, murder mysteries and crime stories. Do I have any favorites? Not really. I just like to read.I don't go to the movies that often. Paying carfare for the week to see one movie is crazy. Thank God for cable!! I hate horror movies! All that blood and guts is way too much for me. Give me an action flick with a decent storyline. I love the Die Hard series, Bad Boys and the X-Men. Comedies are cool too. And lets not forget about the "girlie" movies, The Notebook (I cry every time I watch it), Everafter (Drew Barrymore) and Ghost.Photos
