I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a starving artist and horror novelist. I'm married to an awesome man who's an evil genius, and have never been happier.

I studied Media Arts at USC, focusing in New Media and if anyone wonders what that covers, it was (for me) a combination of digital video, photography, graphic design, and script-writing.

My Interests

Anime, Gaming (mostly table-top RPG's - Exalted, White Wolf Games, D&D and Star Wars), Video Games, Horror Stories, Graphic Design, movies, photography, etc.

I thought this was interesting...

This is from AnimeHell, if anyone else is interested. The anime is Outlaw Star.
Mwa ha ha!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Stephen King. I like his sense of humor, especially after reading, "On Writing." I would also like to meet Hayao Miyazaki because I respect him as a director and an artist.

And another thing Miyazaki is awesome for, Lupin III...check out this video!
SO AWESOME! Richard Cheese meets Lupin III with "Hungry Like the Wolf." Finding this makes me so happy! Watch and enjoy!

Music:

I like many different types of music. In fact, the only music I typically don't like is most rap, new country, and new pop.

Some examples are:
Warmen
Nightwish
Dream Theater
Pink Floyd
Led Zepplin
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Peter Gabriel
Genesis
David Bowie

Beatles
Peter Frampton
Phantom of the Opera
Foreigner
My Chemical Romance
Journey
Video Game Music
Some Classical
Weird Al Yankovic

Oh, and I like to post a random music video of the week. Some of these videos are posted simply for the music and some for the quality of the video. Others I post for how bad the videos are. I'll let you be the judge.

I'm currently painting several rooms in the new house and in the process of moving, so this video still is a good way of stating how I feel...Jonathan Coulton - (live) Re: Your Brains

I'm sure there have to be others but I haven't put much thought into this question.

Why write?

To explore the question of why a person should write, I think we first need to explore why people shouldn't write. Today I had an epiphany about writing because of a bad experience reading a literary ...
