Raised in a german suburb on Punk, Skateboarding and Pizza Hans' and Carlos' first step into music was wit the local Punk/Funk heros Systematik. Quikly Punk and Indie music became boring and the duo explored the riches of the German house and Drum & Bass scene. B.U.T.Z.E., which is a German abreviation for Beatorianted events train interpersonal emotions, for their main interests besides music is longboarding and surfing, is a project which lives from the different experiences the duo has from living in two different areas of Europe: Liverpool, UK and Hanover, Germany; working in two different jobs: Hans as a sound engineer and producer, Carlos as a journalist and teacher at the local university. Although being seperated most of the year, when they meet, roughness and action in their music as well as in their presentation is the core of B.U.T.Z.E.
