ABOUT Ewan
I'm a 2nd year Sound Tech student at LIPA in Liverpool. I've also played guitar for most of my life. My main interest is recording and mixing artists in studios. Check out the player above to listen to a few songs that have been engineered and mixed by myself (with/without others - check credits). I do not limit myself to a particular style, however I do enjoy using acoustic instruments to generate sounds rather than other alternatives.
Although I mainly focus on engineering and mixing, I also enjoy getting my hands into the production side of things. I believe that the music should come first and technology second - nothing matters more than the groove! A machine cannot replace a human heart, soul and emotion and so will never be able to replace a musician. This is not to say that technology does not have it's place; rather, that technology is there to help me immortalise a great sounding band in a particular moment in time - it is a means to an end but no the end itself.
