Glenncoe

Influenced by a vast variety of genres, Glenncoe brings out a union of electronic background, ethereal melodies and metal riffs with a doomy twist. The band started as a project to try new ideas in late 2005 and recorded some demo material in the summer 2006 with a line-up not final. Back then Glenncoe had two singers, Timo was handling guitar and programming and Jukka played the sax which has since become an essential part of their unique sound.Soon after recording a few tracks the band got its present form when Teemu became the sole singer, Pekka took over bass and Antti sat down behind the drum set. The style of playing was influenced a bit by the new members, but the most noticeable difference now was the ability to write faster. The quintet quickly drew together a demo containing three new or otherwise rejuvenated hits with the aim to strike vigorously to the European underground scene.At the moment the band is having a kind of low season from gigging since all of the members are located all over Finland and abroad.
