Hip hop is lost, we're gonna find it

About Me

No pre programmed beats. No playing music off a CD for live shows. No bullshit. No Gimmicks. Just pure, true, uncorrupted, unadulterated, creative, REAL hip hop.

Hiphopotamus is a social conscious, positive hip hop band. It is a perfect mixture of rap with live instruments and a turntablist. Old School, new school, trip hop, underground; we are influenced by everything and refuse to give into falling into one sound.

Featuring the long time rhythm section of Kevin Lantz and Tip Toasty from the band Goodbye Mind, the skillful guitar work of Mr. Green from The French Connections, the poetic rhymes and flowing style of MC Mix Nuts, and the hypnotic scratches and samples from DJ Steve, host of 91.3 FM's Saturday Night Trip.

Do you all go to church? We go to church every Sunday. Its called band practice. Our sound is evolving with every service. Come join the First United Church of Hiphopotamus.
